From Stuck to Thriving: Mindfulness and Mind-Body Strategies for Clinicians and Clients

Instructors

Beth Kurland, Ph.D.

This experiential workshop will explore five common mental and physiological patterns that are part of the human condition—habits that, while universal and hold some evolutionary value, often pull us away from our innate capacity for well-being. These patterns exist on a continuum: at one end, they manifest as everyday stress and suffering; at the other, they may contribute to clinical presentations such as anxiety, depression, stress-related health issues, etc.

Drawing on the latest insights from mindfulness research and mind-body science, this training will introduce five evidence-informed approaches to help shift perspective and interrupt these habitual cycles. Through guided experiential practices, participants will learn practical tools to use both personally and professionally—supporting a transition from feeling stuck to cultivating greater resilience, vitality, and well-being. Ideal for clinicians seeking to integrate holistic, skills-based approaches into their therapeutic work (and their own lives).
