Psychology Training Program

Advanced Practicum & Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Boston Behavioral Medicine, LLC offers a behavioral medicine and integrative psychotherapy training program that meets the requirements for either an advanced practicum (3rd, 4th or 5th year) for doctoral students in clinical or counseling psychology. First or second year doctoral students who already have an earned master’s degree (in a clinical discipline) are also eligible to apply.

We also offer a post-doctoral fellowship for students who have completed their doctoral degree and want to accrue required hours post-internship for licensure.

The training program emphasizes learning specialized behavioral medicine techniques while developing solid integrative psychotherapy skills.

The program promotes the development of a true “bio-psycho-social” framework for the treatment of a variety of medical and psychological conditions with adults, children, and families. Integrative perspectives are emphasized, including cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, systemic, and socio-cultural models.

We provide specialty training in: clinical hypnosis, biofeedback, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, and couples’ and family therapy, among others. Trainees also develop skills necessary to work collaboratively with medical providers.on The training program emphasizes learning specialized behavioral medicine techniques while developing solid integrative psychotherapy skills.
